Starzshine

I started trying to paint stuff in Photoshop and have been having a lot of fun with it. The only issue I ran across was I showed one of my other pieces "Rob" to my boyfriend and he didn't think it was a drawing, he though it was just a photomanip, using filters. I think this one looks less like that because I did it in color, but most of the colors I had to borrow from the original picture, which makes me feel like I'm cheating, but oh well. You learn as you go along. The hair was by far the hardest part, taking several hours.

The portrait it's self is created using just the basic round brush and the blur tool.
The background is a really basic mix of various brushes.

Please give me constructive feedback, I know I'm really new at this.
